Do’s & Don'ts of Lithium-Ion Batteries

DO’s
  • Read and Understand “Battery Operating Manual”
  • Use specified or supplied charger to charge the battery.
  • Charge the battery in a cool area having ambient temperature less than 45 Degree.
  • Charger plug to be connected in 16 A power socket
  • Keep the battery bank away from the metallic objects, Sparks, Flames and smoking materials.
  • Follow driving guidelines.
  • Follow Display meter for battery health status during running.
  • Vehicle to be parked in cool area (low sunlight area)
  • Always use the calibrated tools for measurements.
  • Batteries to be re-charge immediately after discharge.
  • Avoid abnormal acceleration during running
  • Avoid overloading during vehicle run
  • Keep key switch in off state when not in running mode to avoid power loss of main battery.
  • Battery service to be done under Authorized center if required
DON’TS
  • Do not dismantle the battery bank without authorized service Engineer
  • Do not temper with battery terminals
  • Do not add any external source on battery output
  • Do not use any Physically damaged Battery
  • Do not over place or rest metallic objects on battery bank.
  • Do not short circuit the power terminals.
  • Do not use battery beyond 80% DOD.
  • Do not use discharged battery.
  • Do not park vehicle in open sunlight.
  • Do not throw water on battery terminals.
  • Do not keep lights on when not required
  • Do not use any music system, lights, etc. in vehicle
